Here's how it works:

An owner-agent buys one of our new boats from us for their personal pleasure, but also makes the boat available for occasional demonstration, showing her once in a while to people who are interested in owning one, just as you are now. If and when one of these people buys a new boat from us via the owner-agent, the owner-agent receives a substantial commission. In general, owner-agents do what they can to market their boat wherever they are, albeit on a part-time basis that is comfortable and convenient for them.

There are no restrictions on how, where and when you use your boat. This is meant to be fun, easy and convenient for you, an added benefit to your new boat ownership. Will you be heading for the West Indies, the Med or the South Pacific? Great, you can be our agent there! If it is not too inconvenient, we may ask you to show your boat in a U.S. boat show such as the Newport, Rhode Island show in the fall, or perhaps in a foreign country in which you're already cruising. Of course, you will be entitled to commissions on any yachts we sell at those shows. 

The benefits to you are manifold. Not only will you earn a 5% commission on every new-boat order you bring in, but there is also the possibility of being able to claim your boat as a business property (or as rental property, which we can explain in detail to you or your accountant) and take depreciation and many other write-offs on your boat. The tax benefits could be significant.

An Anchor Yacht & Ship Sales' owner-agency can be an enjoyable and lucrative part time business, but even without any business association at all you will have the pleasure of owning a yacht of superior quality and performance.
