Anchor Yacht & Ship Sales, LLC (formerly Anchor Yacht Sales) is a US and worldwide dealer or distributor for several new-yacht lines, which you can access via links at the New Yachts & Ships web page. We are also an international, Internet-focused yacht brokerage, better than most at locating yachts for sale anywhere in the world, and better than any other yacht brokerage we know of at promoting yachts for sale on the world wide web. It was no accident that we chose Rhode Island, "The Ocean State", for our homeport. There is no sales tax on yacht purchases in Rhode Island, and we are not obligated to collect sales tax when we sell a boat no matter where in the world it is! At the Helm
Josh Hodgson is president of Anchor Yacht & Ship Sales. Josh actually grew up aboard a catamaran in the Virgin Islands. Boats have always been a presence and a passion in his life. He even met his wife while water skiing! Josh has a long track record of helping people get what they want. He has mastered the art of matching people to the right boat for their purpose while keeping it comfortably within their budget. Josh's enthusiasm is an inspiration to us and a boon to his clients.
Danielle Sappet, our senior broker, has been navigating New England's waters for over 25 years in both power boats and sailboats. She summers at Cove Haven Marina (our home port) aboard her Mainship trawler, "HOODOO". Having owned a number of boats herself, Danielle understands the importance of finding exactly the right boat for her customers, either power or sail, and her boat search capability is uncanny! She's a first-rate yacht broker whose knowledge of our listings and of other boats currently on the market is second to none.
Bill Feaster has a background with the Merchant Marines, where he has sailed many of the trade routes of the world. Recently his travels have brought him back to Rhode Island and onto our docks. His love for the ocean and the vessels that sail upon them becomes apparent when you first talk with him. When he is not helping his clients get what they are looking for, he can be found surfing the New England waters.
Tor Pinney , founder of Anchor Yacht & Ship Sales, is a licensed Ocean Master and cruising sailor who has logged more than 125,000 nautical miles under sail during the past 25 years. His stories and articles appear often in national boating magazines in the United States and abroad. Tor has left our home office to go cruising again, this time through the South Pacific. He is now our "roving broker," available for personal consultations via email and for special assignments abroad.
Fred plays a critical role in our customer relations department. His laid back attitude and unique approach to solving any problems that come his way have proven very valuable assets to our team. Fred has been sailing the New England waters for the past 10 years. His secret to a successful day on the water is to relax and to let the boat do the work!

Brewer Cove Haven Marina
Anchor Yacht & Ship Sales ' offices are located on the water's edge at Brewer Cove Haven Marina, one of 20 Brewer yards scattered throughout the Northeast. Cove Haven is a large, clean, full-service boat yard tucked into Bullock's Cove at the top of Narragansett Bay. We're convenient to downtown Providence and the airport, and just minutes from the Interstate - but still only 25 miles from Block Island. Newport is just down the bay. Brewer Cove Haven Marina features 329 seasonal slips, 6-12' dockside depth at MLW, floating docks, full dockside services including fuel and holding tank pumpout, clean showers, ice, courtesy transportation, swimming pool, picnic area, barbecue grills, bicycles available and a small marine store on site (West Marine & Boater's World stores are nearby). Repair services include fiberglass, wood, steel, engine, propeller, mechanical, electrical and rigging repairs and installations, metal fabrication, paint & varnish, marine upholstery, travel lifts, indoor & outdoor winter storage and more. The yard is home to a collection of America's Cup boats; Easterner, Gleam, Northern Light, American Eagle, Intrepid, Spirit of America, Lionheart and Young America are all maintained and stored here.
